Round 18

Firstly, I'd like to apologies on behalf of the PA Team for the lateness of this announcement. While most of the information that will be announced here is available, we've not yet made it totally clear and announced it.

The round starts Friday, 7th July at 20:00 GMT.
It ends on Friday, 1st September.

The alliance score system used next round is described (and discussed)here.
It is similar to last rounds system, and can be summed up as follows: when a planet leaves an alliance and joins a new one, only the score gained from the time that he left his previous alliance is added. If the score difference is negative (i.e. the planet has dropped in score since he left his last alliance) then his score and asteroids are not added to the alliance rankings.

The XP formula for capturing asteroids in combat has been changed since announced, and is now as follows:

xp gained = asteroids_stolen * 10 * (min(2,target_value/planet_value) - 0.4) * (min(2,target_score/planet_score) - 0.6) where "min(x,y)" means the minimum of x and y.

The "bash" limit (i.e. smallest planet you can attack out of protection and so forth) is 40% of your own value and 60% of your own score.

Instead of disabling the changing of engineering when production of ships is occurring, now orders are not "combined" unless both start and end ticks of the orders are the same. Previously, it was only if end ticks of the orders were the same.
