Round 15 Details

It's time we announce the schedule for Round 15, so here it is:

Signups will open on Wednesday 19th October at 21 :00 GMT
Ticks will start on Friday 28th October at 21:00 GMT
The shuffle will take place on Sunday 30th October at 08:00 GMT
The round will end on Friday 23rd December at 21:00 GMT

There will be no public beta or public preview of round 15, however the ship stats can be discussed on the forums - http://pirate.planetarion.com/showt...d.php?p=2943418

Anyone wishing to get involved with testing can contact us in #support to get access to our beta test channel. Please note that there will be resets and changes to the game with no notice. Do not think that by taking part in the private beta testing, you will get a free practise game of Round 15.

Round 15 changes so far are:

Bug Fixes:
- Free planets can no longer self-exile.
- Planets in protection can no longer self-exile.
- Cannot start a galaxy exile on a planet in protection.
- Can now not JGP yourself when having no returning fleet.
- When an alliance member is deleted, the notification mail actually gets sent to the HC's now.
- Information section at bottom of the launches.pl page now says "top 100" as opposed to the old incorrect "top 50".
- Alliances messages can now be reported without the server burping out a 500 error.
- Overview specific banner removed.
- Politics page and banner admin page allow banner URLs to have http:// proceeded.
- When moving ships between fleets where the target fleet is not at base, the correct error message is now displayed.
- The kill ships Covert Op is fixed now. Before, it was possible to kill 3 more ships than you should have been able to due to a logic error in the code.
- Modified the alliance attack page so that it displays the slot number for each of the three attacking slots per planet. The reason for this is to show when the first slot has been unclaimed. If planets A, B and C claim a target in that order then A unclaims, it will be obvious that Slot 1 is now free rather than looking like B and C were the first people to claim the target.
- It's now impossible to apply for exceptions that end before they begin.
- It is also impossible to request an exception that has an expiry date set into the past.
- When Buddy Packs are displayed the member coordinates are now shown as X:Y:Z as opposed to X,Y,Z.
- Changed the self-exile message to be a bit clearer on the existing phrases and added the line about the necessity to have your fleets at base before a self-exile can take place.
- Universe Launches page now highlights your planet in GC colour and your galaxy members in MOC colour as on the other Universe listing pages.
-Covert Ops don't work in-gal any more again.

Features:
-"R" now shows on the galaxy screen beside the planets of recruits to all members with "planet" arbiter access
- Free accounts can now become GCs and Ministers.
- Self-exile cost is now int((networth / 10)*((times_self_exiled+2)^1.5).
- Galaxy exile cost is now (value/10)*((number_of_galaxy_exiles_so_far_for_gal+2)/2).
- Cannot start a galaxy exile on planets that have been in the gal for less than 48 ticks.
- Removed the ban on the bottom 15% of gals exiling their planets.
- Increased the inactive free planet deletion from 5 days to 10 days.
- Alliance member list can now be sorted by race (secondary sort is on score).
- Added a paid/free indicator to the alliance member list. (P) = paid (F) = free.
- When a planet is deleted, their alliance receives a message to let them know which member was deleted.
- When a planet is deleted, they are automatically removed from any exceptions they are in.
- Jolt logo added to index.htm, login.pl, signup.pl etc.
- Jolt logo changed to the pretty black one.
- Ministers are no longer shown the galaxy exile vote section on politics if their galaxy fund does not have the resources to exile.
- Added transactions to the missions page to avoid any double-submit problems.
- Added transactions to the Universe trade and Galfund trade actions on the mining page for the same reason.
- Free planets with less than 50 roids are exiled to C200+ before shuffle.
- Inactive free planets are automatically exiled after (72 + (number of previous auto exiles * 20)) hours of no logins to C200+.
- Shuffler now accepts "Max Pack Size" and "Target Gal Size" and makes as many full galaxies as possible and then creates as few gals with the left over buddy packs as possible.
- Updated constructions and production pages so that cancellations give a refund based on the following formula: Refund Percent = (1 - (Current Tick - Start Tick ) / (Finish Tick - Start Tick) ).
- Added messages on both pages to the effect of "If you cancel now you will get X% of the original cost which is: A metal, B crystal and C eonium"
- Hover your mouse over a ship name on the production or overview page and it will show you the class, target, Armour, damage and initiative of that ship in a neat "popup" layer.
- The galaxy screen contains a total of the roids, score and value columns at the bottom (with a gap as requested).
- When placing orders through the missions page, the message has been changed to identify the type of mission ordered (e.g. "New fake attack mission ordered.") and the message appears in the colour associated with that missions (red for attacks, green for defense, orange for fake attacks, white for recall).
-Alliances now get told when they receive a message when a planet leaves the alliance.
- “X other planets in your galaxy have incoming hostile fleets”. The word "other" only shows when YOUR planet has incoming. If it's only other planets in your gal then the message is simply "X other planets...".
- Mining page now shows the required resources to trade and receive the entire stock of a particular resource. It also displays half the cost as well for the situation where you want to trade for all the metal but half in C and half in E. These numbers can be clicked on to populate the galaxy trade form.
- Covert Ops ranking page now highlights your own and your gal mates.
- Covert Ops and Launch ranking pages now show the rank of each planet.
- Covert Ops and Launch ranking pages have a split after the first 10 planets. - Race is now shown on the top 100 planet list.
- Fleets page now contains information regarding the status of the fleet if it is out. The text is of the form "> ETA X" for outgoing fleets or "< ETA X" for returning fleets. The message is coloured depending on the mission and a key is shown to help those that don't understand the colours or the direction of the arrows.
- The clock at the bottom of the menu now updates every second.
- Mining, Production, Construction, Research, Waves, Fleets all now avoid double submission using HTTP redirects.
- Scans now ALWAYS get through to your gal mates and alliance mates regardless of the number of wave distorters they have.
- Note added to the signup page about AOL and shawcable.net email addresses. (Some signup e-mails don't get through).
-Alliance limit now changed. It's a base rate of 80 members, and after a week anyone not in the top 5 alliances can accept a new member every (14 - $alliance_rank) ticks. No alliance can exceed 100 members.
- Covert ops formulas changed to make a bit more sense and make immunity more difficult
