Round 50 Havoc / Round 51 update

Round 50 Havoc

Round 50 havoc has been extended until 20:00 GMT on Thursday 14th March, with 1 billion resources and 3000 additional asteroids added to keep the momentum up.

Round 51
Round 51 name voting is underway on this thread in our forums. Voting closes on Thursday 14th, so get your vote in whilst you can!

Round 51 beta testing is also starting on our beta server. Some changes have yet to be made, but there have been several alliance-related changes that require testing. Ticks start tomorrow morning at 09:00 GMT.

Key changes currently confirmed are as follows:

-Maximum buddy packs are reverted back to 4 (from 6), with 2 late joiners from tick 336.
-Alliance limits will remain unchanged
-A general improvement of the alliance points system has occured
-Unit scans now ignore distorters
-Stats will be based on Round 30 - discussions underway on this thread on our forums.


For those of you who prefer faster ticks, we still have the speedgame running on our speedgame server. This runs on 30 second ticks and consists of a day of normal round, 18 hours of havoc, then 6 hours of "downtime". The cycles start at 18:00 GMT.

In one of the 6 hour periods of downtime in the near future, we hope to upgrade the speedgame server to a more recent code base.
