Our free Winter festive round (linked to on the right) has changed as follows:

There have been a few final stat tweaks as of yesterday evening. Race bonuses and governments have not changed.

Alliances have been added on a "galaxy" basis, i.e. you can only create / join alliances in your galaxy. Everyone is the same level and the main available features are for attack, defence, tax and scanning.

When protection ends at tick 24, there will be a shuffle of the co-ordinates of galaxies; also, private galaxies without many players will be removed and the players moved into random galaxies. Inactive planets will also be removed.
After this, every galaxy will get a "present", allocated randomly.

On a techie side:
-The renaming of resources is done client side by Javascript, so all parsers should be correct.
-There will be a "present_listing.txt" dump file in addition to the planet, galaxy and user dump files, for those tracking the game.
