Ticks start on Wednesday 13th October at 18:00 GMT (19:00 UK, 20:00 Europe)

In Round 12 accounts can be either free, or paid for. A free account has certain limitations on what it can do. The main differences are listed below:

- "Jumpgate" (-1 ETA) (The maximum possible with a paid account is -4 ETA)
- "Infrastructure Upgrade" (20 constructions)
- No limits on Ship-production. Build a big fleet!
- "Technology Analysis" (Planet, Surface and Technology Scans, but not Unit, News, Jumpgate or Fleet Scans)
- No limits on Core Extraction branch, meaning that you can have as many mines as you want.
- "Underground Network Charting" (Hacking: Science Databases and Network Charting )
Heavy Cargo Transfers II (You can mine successfully from maximum 200 asteroids, paid accounts can mine successfully from 8000)

Free accounts also do not have access to the history page and do not see outgoing fleets on the gal status screen. Free accounts also have an ad-banner on the overview page.
